Well you'd need two of them for an H1 to be quick enough to write home about.
But reliability and ease of service are also laudable goals.

It would make a lot more EASY if we put a blower on it, actually. Reconciling the throttle body with a truck water pump is the tricky bit. Truck intake will not clear the windshield. A blower would move the throttle body to a better spot while still being low enough to clear the windshield.
Turbos, though, are a no-go. For as big as this pig is, it's incredibly cramped to work on. The biggest headache, believe it or not, is going to be retaining the air conditioning. The compressor is exactly where those high, narrow frame rails are. Engine can't go leftways any more because the diffs are center mounted and the driveshaft is already perilously close to the engine. (Thus why it's stuck in there at such a goofy angle - that's all AM General's fault)
i used an 07+ truck water pump on my 5.3 to clear the throttle body with a car intake. it was not expensive straight from gm in 2007, so i gather there are parts store units out there now.
they make high mount sanden and r4 compressor brackets so you could probably mount it high like it would have been on the 6.5 and retain the stock hoses even.
We actually have one of those water pumps on order for test fitment and should see it Monday. The trick is that we must retain the clutch fan so car pumps are out. We could just thread the car pump or swap pulleys, but that's kind of a dick move because that makes a one-off part out of a wear item.
There are a bazillion other fitment issues, of course, but we seem to be the go-to people for difficult tasks. "If it was easy then we wouldn't be doing it"

4" 90* elbow off the TB should do it. i did the truck motor/accessories with car intake on the engine stand in 07 as soon as the redesigned water pump was available from the dealer parts dept.
Plenty of room for the FWD water pump assembly. Rumor is it will work with the corvette crank pulley.
You would have to go electric for the fan though.

That's not the issue, the issue is the throttle body itself. The motor is smack dab where the water neck is. Cable throttle is a no-go for various reasons.
