If you haven't, here you go:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grassroots_Motorsports
I was looking it over this morning. In my opinion, it could be more complete. Does it really tell the world everything they need to know about the great community we have here?
I'm also not sure I'm the one that should be editing it. That isn't what Wikipedia is about.
Is anybody willing to help us flesh out the page?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grassroots_Motorsports
That could go wrong very quickly.
Maybe just go the easy route and add links to the Miata page and the Sledgehammer page (yes, there is one).

Did Andrew Nelson's VW win the Challenge in 2009?
Wiki says so.
GRM Wikipedia: It's where Mazda engineers go to learn about Miatas.

It's where most people go to learn things. Like how to make a washer into a car.

I like that. We noticed that our page was a little stale. Figured the community could get it updated and looking nice.
Thanks for the help, everyone.
I've seen several recent instances of
"Ford Econobox GT" on chatGRM.
I think I remember a thread one morning about this phrase being used somehow for canoe wrangling.
Is there a new auto filter word?
Edit:
looks like it's esc0rt. "the world car" is what my 1981 Ford Econobox L said on the b pillar.

I remember when I first joined you guys, someone had me go there to learn SWMBO, NMNA, flounder, and how certain magic words magically changed by magic like berkeley.
There's definitely some outdated info on the $2000 challenge up there
In reply to Tom Suddard :
Nothing wrong with updating the historical facts on the page yourself if you can keep it neutral and avoid making it sound like marketing material...using public wifi would also be a good idea
One fact would need to be confirmed to update the Challenge info - on which year was the budget set back to $2000? Was it 2019?
I think that adding in some info about items exempted from the Challenge budget would also be helpful to people who hear of the Challenge for the first time, look at an under-budget-class car with a cage running on fresh A7s and immediately call BS because they don't know about tire & safety exemptions or recoup.
