Has anyone ever harvested heat shields off something in the wrecking yard? I need to create one for a custom trans tunnel and a custom catalytic converter recess. Before I go out and buy generic sheets I thought I would ask the hive. I'm interested in either/both the sheet metal style and the crinkled aluminum quilt-looking stuff. Anything of good quality off a larger vehicle like a truck or big sedan would have enough surface area for me. Thanks for any ideas!
