The current theory is to use VR6 bearing and mounts. But, for my 1997 Jetta those are standard. (Or sub-standard depending on your point of view...) This time around I am using poly strut mounts but I am looking for better strut bearing. Anyone?

Why, are they not tough enough? I never had issues with the later VR6 style upper mounts/bushings in any of my MK3s.

I put new mounts and bearing in about 2 1/2 years ago when I replaced the struts with Konis. Mounts are sacked, bearing are shot. I am replacing the mounts with upgraded poly mounts which will impart (?) more stress/load onto the bearing. So I would like to install a better bearing... Which does not seem to exist...
