Sarah and I are at Circuit of The Americas in Austin for this weekend's IMSA/WEC affair. If you see us in the paddock, stop and say hi.
We just had a nice dinner with some friends: Dean from Mazda, Randy Pobst, Andy Lally and Spencer Pumpelly. Now, it's bedtime. (Each of us in our own rooms, obviously.)
Tomorrow, we race
In reply to David S. Wallens:
Enjoy David. WEC last night in the dark and rain was pretty cool in its own right. Nothing like fire spitting Ferraris to make it interesting. Well off to the track for day 2.
Fun place. But man is the paddock spread out. From WEC to the Continental Cars is a good country mile--uphill, too. Still, we have seen a bunch of our friends and even made some new ones. Hopefully tomorrow isn't as wet as today. The WEC cars are beautiful up close, too.
I would love to be able to swing the cost of going next year, Texas is just too far away.
I got back last night, and that was a fun event, even with the heat and storms. I have a feeling we'll be back next year.
And yes, Blue Öyster Cult was awesome.
