Want some input or do you want to research at your own speed?
Wanna-get-it-done-on-a-budget-buy-and-go: FM VMaxx Extremes
Budget shop around, end up with something that performs well in the ~$1000 range:
NB Bilstein sports (Or MSM Bilsteins can handle more spring rate according to Miataturbo.net)
Sleeves
NB/FCM hats
6-7" Qa1/Eibach ERS/Whatever springs 4-500 lb front 3-350 rear.
FCM bumpstops
Racing Beat tubular front sway
949/supermiata end links
Upping your budget to $1500 gets you into some Tein Flexs which are apparently decent.
From there.... Ohlins or Xidas.
My MSM will likely get an Ohlins setup (or Cusco because i'm a ricer like that). My 93 will get the Billies + sleeves treatment.
Thanks man, that setup sounds great and the price is awesome, i think that would be perfect, i think the tiens are more expensive just because of the brand itself.
Im liking the ground control sleeves+ the billstien shocks. I would change the spring stifness a little.

You'll probably want to have them revalved if you want to go stiffer, unless you use MSM units. (In theory.)

I think they found remains, in the house like a jar of teeth and symbols.

Don't you own all the remaining Triumph Stags in the US too? You don't just feel his pain. You redefine it!
Welcome to the group. Before you start buying parts, if your goal is a track car, check out the rules of the group you plan on racing with. For example, SCCA, races at Limerock CT and New Hampshire, have very strict rules for Miatas. They have several classes for them, depending on the level of prep. You don't want to find out your $2000 motor upgrade won't be allowed to race when you show up at the track.
If your ultimate goal is just a track day car, every group I can think of, with the exception of some vintage (pre war cars) will require a roll bar at least or a full cage on a convertible (besides safety, will stiffen up the chassis and make it handle better too). There will be specific rules about these too, wall thickness, number of cross braces, mounting points. Again, save yourself some grief and read the rule book first. This is about having fun, might as well spend some time doing the research and planning, which can be fun too.
