I feel ya man - My G20 keeps getting rebuilt in my mind over and over...mild NA tune with a subtle increase in cam duration and some stiffer bushings/suspension? Low key power mods including T25 and the like? full on VQ35 transplant and 5lug hub swappage w/ 18" Enkeis and big ass brake upgrade? I cannot stop!!!!
point is, youre in good company here! So who can lend me several grand?
Lack of extra money a.k.a. the kid being born. Is the only thing thing that keeps me from going crazy with the wifes new car. My car is a work in progress.
I can not even imagine how horrible it must be to drive around in something stock.
Hell I want to put a straight pipe on the lawn mower and paint it black with flames.

Do not modify your daily driver, even when parts wear out. Simply buy OEM replacements and at all costs stay off car forums directly related to your daily driver. This removes the temptation to even think about your daily at all. Keep it what it is, plain transport.
Yep, this is why I bought a 95 Camry. No temptation to modify ANYTHING on it. Its a 4 cyl, 5 speed, Japanese car. The only thing I have replaced is normal repair items.
However, I do drive the snot out of it and have been practicing my heel-toe technique. Just started in the last week. Getting pretty good at it.
I would modify the E36 M3 out of that. No joke.

Depends. Do you want help with your addiction or are you trying to drag the rest of us down with you?
Well, uhh.... it's the MX6 GT in my "garage" on here. Mod list is probably outdated at this point, if that tells you anything. I seriously CANNOT leave anything alone.

Which is exactly why I modified the Zx2. Imagine heel-toeing (or as I call toe-toeing it because of my wide feet) with a performance clutch. I consider any performance modification (especially suspension) a safety improvement. My Zx2 starts faster, stops faster, and can take corners like a ballerina. Ballerinas take corners, right?
(Cosmetics are staying the same. Not pretty like a ballerina.)
We should start regional support groups. Saturday mornings at a Dunkin Donuts would work.
Have you seen my garage....really, really.

I intentionally purchased an automatic daily driver so I would hate it enough I wouldn't mod it. I did this once in the past and got 2 years/40k out of a car w/o modifying it!
It's worked for damn near 6 months on this car, although I recently started reading/following on Ecomodder, so it's only a matter of time.
Yeah I had to buy a Dakota to use as a work truck for well... work. First thought was "Can't do anything to make it unreliable". Second thought was "I need to make it as fuel efficient as possible" I still end up modding stuff just for a different and hopefully safer purpose.
In reply to N Sperlo:
I have to actually do heel-toe because the brake pedal is so far away from my gas pedal as opposed to my Corrado. I don't want to practice heel toeing on the track and I was advised not to start practicing it there.
I.... must... resist... temptation...
This place is not good for recovering DD modifiers. You guys are the devil...
