Have you sat i the empty shell while making vroom vroom noises yet? If you haven't, you're probably too mature to be here.

If you're in NoVa I'm just over the river in MD by the NW DC border and I've been right where you are now in the process. Except the diploma riding on it - in my case it was my sanity.

Okay so first I'm sorry for the slow response, and now to answer some of the burning questions 1. I am going with the stock 3.0 L Triumph V8, because a) I already have it (although in many many pieces) and b)its a unique and different engine. 2. The question I've heard most, I'm in Virginia Beach, in the Little Neck part of the city and all help would be greatly appreciated 3. I will be posting on the classic board too 4. As far as the v8 into the s10 issue goes I've wanted to do that forever ( comes with reading Hot Rod) but I like to idea of maybe an ecotech engine, turbo of course So as far as the condition of the car goes it's in pretty good shape, some rust hole in the floor but sorta saw that coming. Junkyard Dog wins the prize for guessing the back story on the car, it threw a rod 10 years ago, was taken off the road and put into dry storage, then a man that the previous owner knew decided that for his retirement he wanted to do car body work, and 5 years later it was done , then just was stored in a series of garages. The parts car is apparently from California and was bought for a parts car for my neighbor's son's business partners Stag which was restored by a shop in Pennsylvania (white horse or hurst something...) at a cost of $100,000 too...........I have a much, much, much, smaller budget ( a tenth in fact, so yeah not challenge eligible). The parts car was free which is great. So now thank you for bearing with me as a reward you get pictures! well you get pictures of you didn't read that too so.....ummm.....
parts parts parts parts in the drive way A pretty one that is in the area, good to see a done one back view under the hood P.S. I realized i've only ever seen 4 Stags in person before, 2 of which I own scary -Ryan

Well, you still can. You'll have a crowd ready to laugh at you however.

We know what you'll be doing this summer.

I live in Norfolk and can help if you need it. I'm more of a Datsun guy but I have two reasonably mechanically inclined hands.

I'd suggest you get as many different service manuals on the car as you can. You've got a big job and having reference material always helps.
