Helmet hair?

You should be thankfully you have hair to worry about. I gave up after I realised mine was growing out and making me look like bozo the clown. Buzz cut solved the problem.

This. I had long hair for years that I kept in a pony tail. I finally got tired of it fwapping me in the face in the Miata and on the bike, and dragging on the ground while crawling underneath either, and cut it off.

I wore a do-rag under my helmet (car and bike) when I had long hair, but didn't see much benefit after I cut it short. I'm following this thread with interest, though. I, too, need to look presentable for one of my jobs, and even on a good day without a helmet my hair can be difficult to keep under control.
