So,

I bought a universal camber plate and some cheap e-bay coil-overs. As you can see from the pictures the cap for the spring is made of black plastic, and it looks like it will tear up riding on the camber plate.

I also bought this when I learned that the spring needs to be able to move.: http://www.ebay.com/itm/321630974354?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

What is the correct product for this? Do I need another thrust washer for the top? and aluminum mount instead?

I have worked with this style plates. The bearings used are sometimes crap, they may not last and I doubt they are Teflon lined like a quality bearing is.

Anyway you have them now.

Have you tried to fit your strut to the plate. What is the ID of the bearing and what is the OD of your strut rod. Usually you need some kind of stepped bushing to reduce the ID to the size of the strut size.

Also the bearing should be able to rotate within it's race so you don't really need the Ebay bearing but it's nice to have. The down side is that these are not sealed bearings and if driven on the street for any length of time the bearings will get dirt in them and can then just seize up. Greasing them will help but will also attract more dirt. They normally are used to make adjusting ride height easier when you have a threaded shock or a sleeve on the body of your struts or shocks. More for a track only car and not a street car.

Also the spring perch is plastic and I would throw it away and buy metal ones made out of Aluminum.
