Buddy spotted it on the road but I'm stumped since he didn't capture any of the front and back and I don't recognize it without those parts.

Yeah, I was initially thinking TR-4, but a few things aren't right. Definitely a Sunbeam. No Tiger badging, but who knows...

I had those same rims on a fiat... so that limits the bolt pattern to 4x98 or 100ish

Yup, Sunbeam. It's the later, small fin style (Series IV or V). You can tell by the fuel filler location and hinged gas cap.

Not trying to be an ass, but I think aftermarket wheels came in different bolt patterns back then, just as they do today.

no, but the rims I had on the fiat were not made for it. There was a sticker inside that said they fit Triumph Spitfire
