Already done with this weather, and need to get back into "car mode". It's peter'd off with the snow and ice season. (Still need to look into those 5K sun-light therapy lights).
But with tax return season looming, I need new shoes for the MR2 I bought in November. I can even card them now & pay it off when the return comes. I want to stay 15" and the tire size the white MR2 had when I bought it (forget exactly, maybe 215/50-15 or so). I know too tall of a tire causes clearance up front to the shock top.
Anyone have suggestions? Tirerack is probably the answer, but I'm open to ideas. I think something with chrome/grey accents maybe, NO WHITE WHEELS. Two other cars with white wheels = enough cleaning already.
Those are the tri-spoke wheels that weren't on it when I bought it, but I just picked them up & they're in the garage waiting for 40f+ weather to try. In all honesty, they aren't bad.
Can you find something better? ('88 MR2 SC for reference purposes)

Step one- Go to Yahoo Japan.
Step two- Type in SSR, Work, Rays, etc.
Step three- Push the button when you like them.
Step four- ?????
Step five- Profit!
A set of 80's tastic enkeis or something similar would be awsm on that car....

These are only 14's but you need them. Trust me.

Hmm I'd go 14's if I could find them. Got the impression they were going the way of Walkman CD players vs the 18-19-20" I see in GRM now.
Minilites make any older car look flippin' sweet.
Dished Minilites with flares make it look awesome.
I'm looking at similar wheels, although I'm shopping more on specs and price than on looks. My favorites right now are Konig Dial-in and Avanti Storm S1 (in 15x8 for my use). Both are wheels with many spindly spokes.

I guess I'd also appreciate current/former MR2 owners with sizes to get/not get. Still unsure on offset to look out for, or hub size, only bolt pattern and diameter/tire size.
Works? Rays? Those are potentially worth more than the car.

In reply to Wally:
Are those BBS style, from the 90's if I remember?
They were big in the 80s too. I think they are about the best looking wheel for an 80s vintage sports car
6UL's look awesome. 15x8 for the square setup, they fit perfectly. Don't have a pic of them on my Mk1 unfortunately :(
TR motorsports look awesome IMHO.

Surprisingly cheap in small sizes. Unless they're too wide, then the shakotan kids want em.

I did a search. Are these the one's?
EDIT more searching found this link : http://949racing.com/15x8-6UL.aspx
The tungsten would look pretty sweet on the grey/silver car.

BBS RS Goodness. I want a set for the MINI
Don't forget the SSR Mesh wheels.
Off shoot of the BBS RS wheels but usually with a colors face. I think either Rota or XXR make new knock offs. I would go 195 or 205 15" tires for the best availability.

I think these are actually enkei 92's. which are a great suggestion. i think the silver might look best on the OP's car.
all these cars appear to be wearing the 15x8+25 size.
of course if the OP is complaining about white wheels, avoid mesh wheels at all costs!
OEM triangles look good
I'm always a fan of Team Dynamics and Braids offerings as well.
White wheels, look awesome though!
Enkei 92. As seen above they look good.

Hmmmm... More for the color staining than the cleanliness. I've found enough spray-sit-spray cleaners that would do a decent job.
