I'm still moving very slowly forward on my speedster build and I want to use the pedals that came with the donor see below:

But I want to use a double circuit master (as opposed to the single circuit pictured). Does anyone know where I could find a double master cylinder with a bottom mount like the one pictured? I could build a bracket to adapt to usual front mount MC, but I would prefer an un-modified solution.

Sorry...1935 Plymouth with four wheel drum brakes. The current MC is 3/4" bore.

Our old 1953 Jeep CJ-3A had the master cylinder below the pedals like that too, but that looks like a single circuit too. I did find a dual circuit kit:

Something to consider, I suppose.

Mis-read your post, didn't catch you wanted to keep your existing pedals.

Will have to get looking again.

Edit: I'd give these guys a shout, they sound like they know the chassis enough to give you an answer.

I'm a believer that non-correct parts are okay on old cars, as it pertains to brakes. Put a modern, dual-circuit MC on that puppy. Can you just adapt the pedal to a Wilwood MC?

By "unmodified" I assume you mean no drilling or welding on the pedals, frame or master cylinder??

Would a bracket/adapter from bottom to end mount qualify?

I think there is a restoration place in VA that specializes in brakes. I'll try to remember the name.

You'll probably be building a bracket, I think the MC under the floor predates the 1968+ dual circuit stuff by quite a while.

Ton of these available, some with power brake boosters. Here is one:

A bunch on EBay.

This is what i would do.. Wilwood masters are cheap, and you could get tricky and run 2 of them with a balance bar with a little effort..

You'll need to log in to post.
