Cranking the bars and a block in the back isn't a bad idea. Also cheap. I'm told you can get almost 2" on stock torsion keys.
I'm going to slap these on as-is for now and see if they rub. If they don't, I'll run them for a while, check the speedo, and see how they feel. If I don't like the diameter I can swap later.
So I put the new wheels/tires on the front yesterday as-is with the 275/55 and no dice. They look amazing and they are just a tiny bit proud of the fender (nothing some flares won't fix) I think the tires would be fine if it weren't for the fact that the wheels are zero offset (about 1" less than factory) which causes the steering arc to push the whole thing more fore/aft during steering. Depending on articulation up/down, I will definitely have rubbing... and not just an ocassional scrub, like maybe damage a tire or a fender. Rolling these fenders isn't really an option either given how little fender width there is between the door and wheel opening.
So I'm ordering some Falken Wildpeak Trail in 255/55. My go-to for the last 20 years has been Tire Rack (and they're a sponsor which is a bonus). Do they offer any coupon codes or specials for us? My uncle used to work there before he passed away and I remember him mentioning that there isn't much markup on their pricing. Just curious before I drop $240 a piece on sneakers if there is some savings I should be looking for.
