Help me find a tire

Tire Rack & Discount Tire sites aren't much help when you're going about a tire search backwards....

I'm looking for a light-truck tire with an aggressive tread, for a 14" wheel, with the smallest overall diameter. Width of the tire is of less importance. Stock tire diameter is just under 24", so I could go a bit larger without problem.

Do any of you know if anything is available that would work?

Year, make, model?

That's the problem. There are no light truck tires for my car( go figure ), hence my question.

Try searching for Ranger truck applications, early models. I kinda think they used 14's for a while, but I think you may be in for a long search.

Goodyear makes a LT195/75 14 Wrangler A/T.

I just bought a 1996 Cherokee Country 4x4, my first truck/suv/4x4. I had some 225/70/15 General Grabber AT2's put on. I researched them everywhere on the Internet and they had good reviews. My size is also severe winter rated. They are quiet and look awesome. I took it through a bunch of mud yesterday and had no problem. I had a local dealer put them on for $500 including tax,balance,mounting and new valve stems. I see they are offered in one 14" size. I bought a nice pair of Jeep rims for $75 and put the new tires on those.

BFG All Terrain T/A KO's are also available in that 195/75/14 size.

Maybe a rally tire?

I'd like a rally tire - I'm actually thinking of this with Rally-x in mind - but I'd like something that I could drive on pavement without destroying them, and that would hopefully be cheaper too.

Ive found that you can get some crazy looking small diameter off-road tires for 14s and 15s.. if you look at ATV tires!

But as for real off-road truck tires.. you wont find any smaller than 27". Which, to be clear, would be absolutely horrid on a car that comes with 24" tire stock.

Here's a Dynasty i own that i lifted (then slammed). 27" in the front, ~28" in the back. If your car is smaller than a dynasty.. well.. is this the look you're going for?

If you're looking for a rally tire then maybe you should think more in the realm of winter/snow tire.

If this is for scca rallyx, then you should definitely look at snow tires. Large tread gaps will class your car into modified.
