My son bought a set of after market springs a long time ago which have been sitting on the shelf. We no longer have a WRX or STI, so I figured it was time to sell them.
The springs in question were a set of Tanabe Sustec GF210's (TGF092) for an '04 Impreza WRX/STI. They were in a sealed box, and each spring was wrapped in plastic.
The problem is, when I opened the box, they were black with grey plastic silencers on the top coil. There are no identifying marks on them. Additionally, they were a little shorter than the box (which might be normal, but who knows). They do not appear to be progressive coiled springs. Kind of look like stock WRX.
I thought the GF210's were red? I also thought they were labeled, and progressive.
I don't actually know where he bought them, but knowing him, it was likely an online bargain.
Any thoughts? Is there a black version of the GF210's?
I don't want to misrepresent them when I sell them.
