We found out last week that Javelin Jr (due Jan 11th) is a girl (she flashed the ultrasound tech, so we're sure ). I need help thinking of cool car/race driver derived names...
So far:
- Alfa
- Bristol
- Elise
- Ginetta
- Janet (Guthrie of Indy & Daytona fame)
- Shirley (Muldowny & Shahan, drag racing Champions)
- Portia (sound it out...)
Help me out here!

You did it in the title. J.J.
If I ever have a girl, we have agreed that we will name her Adelaide Michelle Maroon92 (not really).
Adelaide is a reference to the F1 circuit / Australian city, and Michelle is a reference to Ms. Mouton.
You may use it if you would like.
If our son had been a girl, her name would've been Elise.
I like Michelle for Ms. Mouton, but my name is Michael so I don't think I can get it past SWMBO/Mrs. Javelin.
If we had had twin boy & girl I would have done Carter and Holley (carburetors).
Bailey, Classy but fun
Seven, always like that one.
Clio, like the Renault, or like Clark Kents assistant in Smallville

SHELBY is a great name for a girl!
I have a Shelby and a Brock.
Find a couple of names that represent drivers you like that make up initials that also fit your style
A Angelle Sampey female Drag racer
M Maria Teresa de Filippis female F1 driver
C Chrissy Wallace female NASCAR driver
G Giovanna Amati female F1 driver
T Tatiana Calderon female Star Mazda driver
Sorry, but the old codger has ruined "Shelby" for me.
"GT" is a cool idea though... Ginetta Targa even sounds pretty good!
Allison is also the heavy-duty transmission.
I like the Holley/Carter idea... though if you had more I'm not sure how well Weber and Rochester would work
Other names... Europa, Mercedes McLaren, Arcee (one of the few female Transformers), Danica, Ashley (as in Force), Celine (Saleen), Tokico, Sabine (as in Schmidt)...
Eleanor?
But of your choices, Elise.
Ashley (Force)
(Crown) Victoria
Holley
Or one I'm surprised nobody suggested yet...
Marjorie!
When I hear the name "Lola" all I can hear is "Yoda" by Weird Al.
