I swapped out the drag racing rear end on my 1972 dart for a more street friendly 1973 setup. When I bought the car it came with a Ford 9 Inch rear end, Moser axles with extended wheel studs, a spool, and 4:10 gears. I put a 1973 rear end under the car with a LSD, and the larger 5x4.5 lug pattern. I also swapped out the front spindles to disc brakes and the same 5x4.5 lug pattern.
My question is what should I ask for a narrowed Ford 9 inch rear end with the moser axles, extended studs, a spool and 4:10 gears? The axles are drilled for the rarer though appropriate 5x100 lug pattern found on early Mopar A-bodies. I also have a nice set of Centerline wheels with unknown age 275/50/15 drag radials and the skinny front wheels without tires.
Before... on car
i'd start at $750 for the rear and wheels for 500 if the tires are still within a safe date range and have no cracking, 250 if not. 9" rears are weird. some are worth a mint and some are garage sale fodder. you're going to need to find someone who wants that specific housing for a dart with that bolt pattern or someone is going to offer way less based on the fact that the axles will be useless to them and they'll have to add bracketry or perches. it used to be a 9" in correct width for non ford apps would go for quite a bit more, but now that custom fit and built 9" rears with new axle tubes, brackets, big bearing ends can be had for cheap it devalued original stuff. i bought a bolt in housing for the chevelle with moser axles for 750 delivered, and open center sections are everywhere, spools are cheap, etc...
not trying to devalue your bits, just giving some reasons why i value them that way.
When you sell, you might want to post some dimensions of the rear end. It may fit an early Mustang, ie,
those that came with an 8 inch. Those owners are potential 9 inch buyers, too.

Thats about what i figured price wise. I will clean it up and get it on a couple of the Mopar websites and craigslist.
