Can someone help, I have a 1994 940 turbo sedan, supposedly there are 2 different automatic transmissions. The aw71 and an aw30 I think. Is there a tag on the trans housing that's accessible to let me know which one I have?

You almost definitely have an AW71. The AW30 was only on 6-cylinder whiteblock cars (960), IIRC.
Cool a friend has a wix filter, filter gasket, and pan gasket kit that he'll give me for $10
Gonna do it in the morning, been needing to to the pan gasket filter it's leaking like hell
