The v6 is gone. It was sacrificed to the car gods to buy a new Tremec for the silver car.
Wheels on the ground around 2:30 this morning. I'll be damned if I forgot cash/change for the turnpike. A measly $3.25 and all I had was $2.75. Enough to be aggravating.
I took the side highway for the first mile or two and spotted an ATM for my bank, so only 5 or so minutes lost.
TSA Pre-check is still awesome.
About 40 minutes from boarding to hit Dallas for a bit of a layover. I'd take a cat nap but not quite groggy enough yet. Also I'm not a cat.

Lol.....yeah the worse is waiting in like Denver. It's a whole 17 minute flight. At least with Dallas, you don't feel like you can drive there faster.
17 minute flight but 20 minutes to board and then 20 to deboard. My nightmare. I'm always surprised at the idea of boarding a plane first is actually a good thing. Boarding first means you have to sit in a tight space longer. Probably stand up twice to let middle and window seat get in. I just don't get it. I'll be last in line all day.

Boarding first means there's actually room in the overhead bin when you get on, boarding last means other people filled them up and you have to gate check your carry-on.
On the rare instance where they double-book a seat and don't catch it (it's happened to me), boarding first means it's your butt in the chair when they figure it out and that gives you priority by default.
But for me it's primarily that boarding the plane marks the transition between the time period where I have to stress out about making sure stuff happens to the time period where I'm "done" and can relax.

Those are good points to consider. I rarely ever have carry on, somehow I always end up with a checked bag or just my backpack. Never dealt with a double book, but have seen that happen and that would certainly sour my day.
Boarding now for Colorado Springs. Onward we go.

Packed up and heading to Tulsa now. Many extra parts have been acquired making the travels that much sweeter.
I hooked the captain up. Got him loaded up and looking forward to the build thread with all of the awesomeness.

It was a hatchback that he ended up getting. Actually really simple to load even with the additional purchases. Someone took home a new driver's seat too.
Stopped in Wakeeney Kansas for gas and a quick stretch. Not quite halfway to Tulsa.
The car is a Chevy Trax. They originally wanted to give me a Spark but that wasn't gonna work.
Roll bar fit without issue and so did some other goods. One thing mentioned is a seat. Should all fit in my Audi maybe just a bit tighter fit. I'm a happy camper.
