Yes, seriously, I want your help.
I'm about to send an email out to our list of GRM peeps. And I'll be honest: The goal is to sell subscriptions. Subscriptions are what keeps this company in business, this site alive, and food on my table (hey, a guy's gotta eat).
Here's what's inside the email:
Build Your Own Garage: That’s the cover story of the June issue of Grassroots Motorsports, the one that we’re mailing right now. In this series, we’ll show you how to build your dream home shop–from bare dirt to finished workshop. This issue also introduces you to the coolest Mazda RX-7 in Brooklyn, covers further development of our Mustang GT autocross project, and explains how to build a wiring harness from scratch. And lots more, of course.
Want to read this issue? It’s not too late to get on the list. Subscribe today, and you’ll pay just $19.99 for a full year of Grassroots Motorsports–and get a full year of our sister magazine, Classic Motorsports, thrown in for free. That’s two great magazines for the price of one, and now every subscription comes with free digital access, too.
In the Next Issue of Grassroots Motorsports:
Build Your Own Garage: From bare dirt to finished workshop. We show you how.
Tire Test: We test the latest max-performance tires from Michelin and Continental.
Project Mustang: Bigger brakes for our plus-sized autocrosser.
Project Rotary Miata: How to build your own wiring harness
Project Ramp Truck: Building the best tow vehicle ever.
Ford Focus ST: Expert advice on getting more from your turbo Ford.
Buyer’s Guide: What’s the best action camera on the market?
Subscribe to Grassroots Motorsports
Any ideas what I should write for the subject line? If we pick yours, I'll give you a free 1-year subscription to GRM. Our audience? It's people just like you.
Thanks!

But seriously: "Join the best group of car enthusiasts on the planet"
Build a garage and the cars to go inside it. From dirt lot to daily driver. The one time GRM recommends a claw hammer, find out why! Build your dream car and a place to wrench on it.
Well, since I own a Focus ST, am looking for new autocross tires and really want to build a garage in the near future - that blurb itself got me to subscribe. So many things that are relevant to my interests!
I've already read Tim's latest column via my online subscription. Taking from there, I am struck by the words:
Thriving in a changing world ... delivering good, passionate content at reasonable prices.
Maybe that is an email title.
I'm still waiting to see something from GRM on the Focus RS. The ST content is pretty awesome though.
Note: if you want one to test, I can lend mine, but I'm in the PNW....
Anyway, for a subject line, I might go with: Focus on your own Garagemahal build and then fill it.
One man drives into a garage. What happens next will blow your mind.
Or.
In this issue:
The coolest car from where garages are rare and the garage to have if you've room to spare.

How about: Hey you reading this; $20/year is for chumps! Think ahead and buy in bulk for $10/year! It's like Costco for awesome magazines.

That was my original idea, but that's more of a reason to join the forum: to hang around with a bunch of boobs.
