I hope you were not implying I was using quotes incorrectly.
When quotes are used to quote a fragment of a sentence, they aren't unnecessary. That's what I did, though I only quoted one word from David's post.
Quotes can also be used to indicate an absolute value. For example: Write your name here. is different from Write "your name here".
Programming conventions get even more silly with quotes. I get headaches working with Genesys, because of the way they use quotes in their system.

I was going to say Sebastian Vettel's job.
I've been mulling this over since the post that Alan got. I'm in MI, I'd relocate to FL for this job for sure. I should nab a sample of my drivel and a few pics and throw my hat in the ring. I, too far that technical writing and curriculum development ruined my writing skills........
Sigh If only I could convince Chuck to move to Florida. Also, if I had any of the other requirements that would help.

Bring a friend! She can help me work on the datsun when she's not assisting you at GRM HQ

"nice" and "large" are not synonyms.

Don't sell yourself short. I was a technical writer before this. So was Murilee Martin before he was a LeMons judge and gonzo automotive journalist. If you're willing to move to Florida, put your application in.
I went looking for one of my samples online last night. The site I wrote for seems to have closed up shop and I don't have any copies!! I'll have to throw something together. Give me a topic and I'll throw something together....
Aw man, I was hoping for something automotive. I'll whip something out (grinning cuz I know that is kinda naughty).

Thank you, Hedy, thank you
It's not Hedy, it's Hedley. Hedley Lamarr.
What the hell are you worried about? This is 1874. You'll be able to sue her
And, Lesley, I've read some of your stuff. Nice/Large rack (Angry is right) or not (I have no clue what you look like) I think you ought to apply. Consider my Blazing Saddles reference my endorsement.
I love you guys – but my knowledge of the intricacies of megasquirt and minutae of miatae are sadly lacking.
I want to throw my hat in the ring, but alas I can't, not right now. My father is in the advanced stages of M.S. and my mom relies on my help, he's been bed-ridden for the last 12 years and is in pretty rough shape. If I left, I'd be leaving my mom high and dry.
Maybe in a few years.....
I've applied and will be done with grad school in six weeks. I'd love the chance to enjoy my job again.
