My daughter in New Hampshire has a 2024 Honda Odyssey that is only 6 months old. The Electric Parking Brake warning light is on. Is this car safe to drive? Being Sunday I don't think any Dealership Service Depts. are open. Can she take it to an auto parts store to get them to read the code? She needs the car for work tomorrow.
Totally safe to drive, maybe less safe to park, I would say to stick to level parking spots and think about where the wheels are pointed until it's fixed.
We have a 2020 Odyssey. More than once, I have surprised myself by inadvertently nudging the "Brake Hold" lever/switch/thingy, which is directly below the electric parking brake lever. I get a message like "Brake Hold Activated" or something. Could that possibly be what your daughter has? If it is, just pushing/nudging/whatevering the relevant switch a second time puts it back to sleep.

The transmission still has a Park pawl. I am 99% certain that Hondas don't ever apply the EPB unless told to.
There's either a caliper/wiring issue, or... is the thing just engaged and needs to be disengaged? You have to have your foot on the brake to disengage it.

Mine certainly doesn't.
In other news, apparently I am now a SuperDork.

Did she have to jump start it? Almost all of the newer Honda if they are jumped will have multiple warning lights on due to low voltage
