I read an article a while back about an engine builder that made their name on the West Coast for stroking Honda engines. They'd fab up some spacer plates (we're talking an inch thick, maybe more) that go on top of the heads and then making custom forged crank shafts for a whole lot extra throw. They did the same thing to an LS1 and got obscene amounts of displacement. Problem is, I can't find the article or the name of the company. Does this sound familiar to anybody on here? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Have you posted the same question on the honda boards? They might know as well.. Because I have no idea, any clue to which magazine you were reading it from?

It was a PHR or Car Craft, something along those lines. Can't remember which exactly. It's at my uncle's garage which is about 400 miles away.

That almost sounds like AEMS in San Diego. I know they did that on an H22A1 and made something like 1100 hp - back when that was a big deal.
Oh... you said something like "PHR", maybe you mean DPR, Don Paramore Racing, though I may have mangled his last name.

Hmmm, AEMS doesn't sound familiar and a quick google search only yields AEM hits. I'll keep looking, thanks!
