Both of the bikes and the lawnmower are powered by antique farm engines. Google IHC LA and a couple of videos will pop up.

Steam
Very cool. Went to something similar a few years back- and they even ended up doing vintage tractor pulls.... slowest excitement ever. Take em 5-10min to pull the full 300' or whatever. But it was awesome.
Even here in Southern California we have steam engine meets. You run into the most interesting and cool people there! I remember seeing a 1/8 scale steam shovel... and the guy was operating it with the little door open, reaching in and operating the levers. Had about 2000 hand-made rivets, too.
Coolest thing I ever saw at one of these shows... Imagine your cabin is 50 feet above a stream. After you get really tired of carrying water up the hill, you install this awesome device. Has exactly two moving part, does not use wind, electricity, or fuel... so how's it work? Shear engineering elegance: via hydraulic ram.

I've seen that guy around a few times. It really looks weird when he turns on the Saturn headlights.
I didn't make it (obviously), finishing up some stuff around teh crib. Did you take the Whizzer? That thing is fun.

No, this one was at the Santee Canal State Park. They have the tractors and engines as well as do a tractor pull and lawnmower racing. The local reenactors show up with all their cannons. Having a cannon sound the hour will certainly keep you awake. There was even a helicopter there giving rides for $20. Good event. I probably shot pictures of less than ten percent of the stuff there.
