you don't even need an AMX you can probably find a 5 speed spirit gt, same body and stuff of course you don't get the 304 but you only get that on the first my of the amx anyways. Just put in a Jeep 5 speed and a 360.

I like these, i wish there were more around. The I6 they have is of course probably one of the most supported of all time because of it's (and varients) used in Jeeps until about 10 years ago. I think you can take the 4.2l versions internals and put it in a 4.0l engine to get a 4.7? I forget it's been a while since i've messed around with a Jeep. That would be fun in one of these cars. They are less than 2600lbs according to wikipedia which is surprising to me.

Probably because you can find jeeps fairly easily, Spirits and Eagles and much more rare.
