It's time for both these things (just coming up on 80k km/50k miles).

Things to do? Things to not do? Things to for-the-love-of-Suddard avoid? I know y'all have opinions about this stuff, particularly shocks. I'm listening!

TIA

Well, shocks are pretty much OEM or nothing (the downsides of a Canada-only model).

It's likely a modified Forte/Elantra platform but as for what parts will fit, no clue. Brakes are straightforward, simple and easy. if it's the Forte/Elantra/Veloster suspension setup, it's 3 14mm nuts up top, 2 19mm nuts on 17mm bolts, a pair of 12mm bolts holding the brake line and sensor and a 17mm nut holding hte sway bar link. Out back is a 17mm bolt up top and a 19mm nut on the bottom and the spring and shock are off and the torsion beam swings down out of the way.
