Hey, sorry I've been away for so long. I just wasn't really *making* or *doing* anything,  and didn't have a lot to say. I still check the forum every morning, about half of those unexplained 'thumbs up' are mine. ;)

Long story short, my RSX was totaled. Replaced it with an '07 Accord 4dr. 4cyl K-series/manual (weird gear ratios, but at least I still row my own). Guy I bought it from was amazed that someone was looking for a manual on purpose.  Decided I needed an 'appliance' instead of something cool to replace the RSX, since my commute is so long. And I'm in Atlanta, so that much time on the road might mean having yet another 'cool' car totaled if I commute in it.

I like the thing. I really do. But a couple of years after buying it, I'm beginning to seriously miss having a car that communicates with me. I started looking for suspension pieces, but all the online search serves up is stuff for coupes (and often, not even for my own 7G car). Results are all coilovers and airstruts. Seems like it's a good platform, but just tuned a little soft. I'm not trying to build a time attack machine over here, I just want to get rid of the 'floaty-boaty' in it.

Car's stock with 155K now. Her legs are wearing out, I figure that if I need to replace all that stock stuff anyway, why go Japanese Buick again? Anybody have suggestions for good shocks/springs/arm bearings?

Car spends most of its time with me as the sole occupant, and no weight in the rear. Even then, still doesn't like to rotate. I'd like to fix that, too.

I'm not going to be any help with the Honda, but glad to hear from you again. It's been a while.

I had an Acura CL Type S that I am sure was on the same platform, and a it had a much sportier suspension than the Accords I was cross shopping against it. I know the CL was a coupe, but there is the TL sedan version. These could provide swaybars, but the springs for a v6 car may be too much for your accord.

In reply to Chesterfield :

Yeah, anything for the 6 might be a bit much. Has anyone ever weighed the K vs the J?

Good thought about the TL, though. That might be a good place to start for 'stock +' stuff. Oh, and I have to share about this gearbox. Evidently, the engineers in Ohio wanted it to feel like it had the 6. First gear is so low that you have to be at a dead stop to get into it without grinding. Turns about 4K at 20mph.

Actually works quite well in a traffic jam. No slipping the clutch, just shove it in low and crawl. I just get behind a semi & ooze along. :D

Not much to add on my own, but have you checked Mazdeuce's Traccord thread here? He's got a coupe, but there might be something applicable to you there.

Was just going to recommend the same thing.  A pick and pull run might uncover some hidden gems like Mazdeuce found.
