There's no capsule that would drop into the housing and give an accurate beam pattern; best bet is to swap out the entire bulb, reflector, and lens for something designed to work together as a unit.

I understand. But has anyone done this and what were the results? The kits to do so are out there. This one is listed from a place that claims to be an Expert on Headlights. I ask because one D4R bulb is $130 wholesale.
