I'd like to see that try to tackle and autocross course. Probably better at high speed, straight runs.
However, starting that thing is so awesome! I would love to crank up a turbine at the local car cruise!
Imagine picking up the kids from school. 
i am pretty sure its like a helicopter motor.... id love to see a build thread on the drive train

Here's my thought on that: Why does Batman need a jet-powered car in Gotham City? Is the city really that big and wide-open? Wouldn't he be better with some kind of Group B rally car--you know, something with amazing 0-100 acceleration plus the ability to jump curbs? Okay, just my 2 cents. (And this coming from a guy who's read more than a few Batman books.)

Because the writers aren't car people, and they don't think about those things like we do.
But I agree completely. Batman would be much better off in the Whistling Pig Celica than he would in any sort of jet-powered land craft.
Is loud and looks uncomfortable, but it's cool. I'd rather have the Cheetah in the lower right hand corner of the frame. Just sayin.

I think the tumbler was a step in the right direction, but make it 3/4 scale and you would be set.

I am impressed that somebody actually built it.. but as I am a long way past being 13... I am none too impressed with the whole dark knight thing

You're definitely right, Dave. That would be a much more useful car.
FWIW, this scene with the lambo also annoyed me....I've only seen one of them at an autocross, but it had a lot of trouble with the slalom. My guess is that dodging in and out of traffic would not be that car's strong point.

I read the page, it came out of a Naval drone R/C Helicopter. Actually turboprop airplane engines are the same as helicopter engines. Engine looks to be a bit bigger than the APU in our Chinook helicopters. Boeing doesn't really make engines though so it's most likely a Honeywell (Garrett [which absorbed Lycoming] or Sunstrand), they have the largest part of the market. Could be GE or Rolls though. Wonder how he did the variable acceleration bit, turbine powering a generator for electric drive or hydrualic motor. Doesn't say.
