Hi family!
Anyone know if a y8 timing belt , tensioner pulley , and water pump with gasket will fit on the y7 motor? Any recommendations for a head gasket, or will a generic ebay one do? Thanks!

DILYSI Dave is the Honda D series guru here. I cannot answer the belt question. However, the accepted wisdom regarding head gaskets used to be go with OEM if you don't want to have problems later.
Fel-Pro gaskets are imported from Japan; it wouldn't surprise me if they are from the same place that makes the OEM gasket.
I actually don't think they do.
When you make a "mini-me" i believe you have to use the Y8 belt, and the Y7 won't work for some reason. They are different sizes to the best of my knowledge.
As for the water pump, that i'm unsure about. I think it's the same.
I'm generally cheaper than the average bear, but I make an exception for a timing belt that says "Honda" on it. I'm okay with replacing vatozone 'lifetime' axles and alternators once a year. Timing belt on an interference motor, not so much.
If you go to rockauto and click on the parts you have it should give a cross reference to the other models they will fit.
Had to use it when I got the wrong water pump from a parts store for a 01' GS-R. I told them del sol B16 and got the right pump.

I think it is the water pump that is the reason why the timing belts are different. For a while, I was saving Honda water pumps for the pulleys, and I have quite the selection of sizes. We mainly do D-series and CR-V water pumps, I don't think I've ever even sat in an Integra before...

Same. I read somewhere (can't find it again) that OEM Honda belts are rated for 100,000 miles while your standard parts house brand belts are rated for 50,000.
