The front LCA bushings need replacing on my '90 Civic.

While I have a pretty good basic tool kit, are their any special tools necessary? Can this be done without using impact tools?

TIA...

I found that a BFG with a cold chisel just requires a solid tap (instead of several solid WHACKs) to release the taper. The chisel did not score deform break ruin the cast iorn or create any life threatening pressure risers. Its sorta magical what the focused hit does. Just one pop flat along the taper axis and its off.

^That works, too. I just like the BFH since I get to take out aggression as well. It's a lot more legal than face-punching.

I don't know whether you live in the rust belt, but be prepared for the pivot bolts to be seized into the steel sleeves in the bushings. I've certainly had cases up here that ended up involving the torch and sacrificing parts.
