i have nothing else to contribite to th thread other than this, and my opinion. i had a superbeetle convertable. i would NOT weant to autocross anything that handled and stopped that badly.
now a friend of mine is college had a sedan superbettle, tweaked. sounded and handled like a pissed off harley. fun car, though.

Yes because things have improved even more since this thread was started.
Suspension goodies, 2.0+ liter motors.............and they are light.
This one was seen autocrossing at St Marys airport about 18 months ago....

Apparently he should also autocross an F350.
Then again, it's been 13 years, the F350 may have been nerfed class-wise since then

Sounds like I need to start looking into suspension components for the my Super Beetle.
Kafer Cup in Europe was a big thing for years ,
anyone know if there is a good forum for Kafer Cup race cars , mostly suspension and motor stuff ?
