Why are there so many plates with food on them after the diners have left the restaurant?

Eyes are bigger than their stomaches? Bite off more than they can chew? Boredom?

I never take more apart than I can get back together by the next season. Suspension mod or engine mod never both at the same time.

On the other hand I believe that once all of your project are done you die. I always have one house, one car and one other project in the works. I also just bought a cabin/cottage so that should get me at least 20 more years.

I think another key component of success is that the undertaking of the project itself has to be a goal in its own right, as much as a means to an end. Have you always wanted to learn body work? Welding? Tuning your own engine management? At least for a young and still relatively inexperienced guy such as myself, it's an opportunity to broaden my skill set as much as anything.

My current RX7 LS1 swap project is a perfect example. A logical person would look at what I'm doing and go "Well why don't you just buy a Corvette?" Because I've always wanted to do an engine swap and I finally have the tools, space, and confidence to do it, and the perfect donor just happened to fall into my lap. Plus, I don't own enough gold chains to rock the 'Vette anyways
