We know a lot of people who dream of doing something big, but for whatever reason they never get around to those plans. Something stupid-like real 'life-seems to always get in the way. There are a few individuals, however, who not only dream up big plans; by hook or by crook, they also make those plans a reality.
Last summer, 20-year-old …

Now THAT's a good advertising investment if it's making people still want your products 35 years later!
You know what? It's been a while since I've been to a Sonny's.
I think it's about time to change that.

They closed the Sonny's BBQ's around the Charlotte area in NC. I really liked them and they were decent value for the money. Not sure what happened or why, but they seem to have faded away.
With all of my experience at the PPIHC with Honda/Acura corporate, I am doing something similar to OP's article. Things like this need to be highlighted for the value of what the person is attempting, and how they/we are funding the whole endeavor.
Legit came close to a panic attack while slowly driving up Pike's Peak in a Prius.
Something about not seeing the horizon behind the road just tweaks my lizard brain right out.
Massive respect for these guys.
Is there something wrong with my brain or the webpage?
""Many will think, 'A Honda Ciciv VX, why that? It only has 92 horsepower,'" Blake asks rhetorically. "I for know, racingI ?" know. Blake How knew, could that however, be goodthat this base-model Civic was only the platform for bigger things to come."
So, the PS to this story: Blake founded Braille Batteries and, later, Electric Performance.

Thanks for noting in the header that it was an old article being repurposed! That's so far back it's before I subbed.
If you could go through the scan of the old article for typos before republishing, that would show a bit of consideration for the customers.

Yeah, that's tough, occurs on other mountain roads too. Seems to me I had a little lizard brain kick when driving down the Escalante Grand Staircase road. And when I watch the Grand Theft Auto videos that folks make of sky courses where you have to jump the car, I get some of that jolt too.
And I know people who have problems on elevated freeways that don't have high enough side walls, or "too good" of a view of the nothing around them.
So like other racing things, you have to learn to do what seems wrong at first. Took a familiarization ride at Sears Point driven by a guy in an e 30 with full racing suspension and warm race tires. About the fourth corner I was 100% sure we were going into the dirt, but he kept turning the wheel and those gumballs just STUCK, and we managed without any problems.
