I've got a Braille 11lb battery that I need to put away for a while. The last one I had sat in my Sentra race car for a month and of course, it died. So I spend another 150 bucks to get a shiny new one, however now the car needs to sit again. How do I keep this thing alive for a month or two?

A self-managing trickle charger is a good start.

Unless your car has a parasitic drain of some kind (clock, stereo, etc.) the battery shouldn't die in a month. Just make sure the battery is fully charged and then disconnect it.

I have one of those -- left it unchecked in my Fiero for over a month -- no problems!

A battery tender that is capable of taking care of AGM batteries is a wise investment just to make sure the batts are in tip-top shape, tho'..................

Remove from car store in warm dry vented place on wood blocks (I use couple small pcs of 2x4 and store them in my basement) Every now and then I put the trickle charger on them.

Newer cars have "keep alive" drain on a battery.

go buy a battery tender, they seem to be cheap enough, and the motorcycle guys swear by them...
