One thing about circle track - no boring straights. You're in a corner basically all the time. That's gotta be interesting to drive.
I've done oval karts. Top speed was about 65, and 10 minute sessions were intense. It didn't hurt that it was a whole group of rallycrossers and they freely let us bump draft at those speeds.

Yeah, like Baltimore is a suburb of DC.
Distances/sprawl in the south and west astound me sometimes.
Where in the Lehigh Valley are you? I have a feeling I live somewhat close to you. Back to answering the topic, when I autocrossed, the farthest I would drive is 2 hours down to Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, MD. Other than that Boeing was an hour drive, Warminster a half hour drive, Englishtown an hour and a half.

An hour to four hours for track stuff.
Three hours and 20 minutes for rallycross, which is quite frankly stupid, but I do love it.
Where do you RallyCross? A friend and I are wanting to build a car in the next year or 2 to play locally.
San Marcos. I run with Lone Star RallyCross. You can find them on Facebook or send me a message and I'll get you the info.
Already all over that. I'm between there and TWS near lake Somerville. I've been wanting to pop over there to watch, just not quite motivated enough yet. Also wanted to wait until I get a new helmet and possibly do a few ride alongs.
I'm hoping to tool around up there next year with Uncle Ben.

Let me know when you're going to make it to an event. I'll either be there or I'll send you a couple of name to ask for specifically. The whole group is great, but it always helps to know who's hand to shake first.
Challenge = 14.5 hours away
Other racing 3 hour max.
The INR Autocross site is only a little over a half hour from my house in the middle of Chicago. I like racing there and the fact that they aren't allowed to start until 11 due to noise makes it a leisurely morning when I race there.
Chicago Region and TSSCC sites are right around an hour from me.
Champaign Sports Car Club is a little over 2 hours from me. I have to be really starved to make it down there, it's a rough drive really early in the morning.
I would go to South Bend more if I didn't lose an hour on the way there, as it is I would have to leave the house before 5:30 to make it there on-time.
Milwaukee Region is a little less than 2 hours. I know I can do it, but I just haven't yet.
Closest road course is Autobahn, about an hour away (not in traffic). But I don't do HDPE's.
Closest accessible drag racing venue is Great Lakes Drag-A-Way about 70 minutes away not in traffic - I don't consider Route 66's limited TNT schedule to be accessible for street cars.
I am pure laziness. I've only gotten it together for the autocross events in my town. That's about 2 miles. They drop the venue during the summer, so I haven't been out in a few months. If I did get myself in order, the nearest autocross is all about an hour or so away. NOLA Motorsports Park is about an hour and fifteen, and they host Track Night in America events and some other nifty things.

I'm spoiled as well. Autocross at LVMS is 15 minutes from the house. I do now have to drive 60 miles to Spring Mountian Motorsports but I view it as worth it. Last weekend I drove back and forth each day; its 1:25 towing and about 10-15 minutes less without towing (on race weekends I drop the car off Friday and tow it home Sunday)

Closest autocross was 20 minutes away this year, and I had to work both times. Usually it's a 2 hour drive. I got spoiled when I lived in New England. Half an hour was about average, and one club ran 5 minutes from my house for a couple of years.
