Back in the day, lowered sports car life was so much easier: Install Koni Sport dampers with lowering springs and become one of the cool kids. A lower center of gravity reduced weight transfer, and the stiffer springs helped reduced body roll while keeping off the bump stops.

Need a little more spring? A set of Ground Control coil-over sleeves …

What about FlyinMiata Vmaxx XXtreme coilovers? Or the Dekker Package from FlyinMiata (Read "Miatagasm" in Road and Track.)? Also never heard of your shock tuner, but Fat Cat Motorsports is all over the Miata forums even though their work isn't limited to Miatas.

Just upgrade to RedShift 8k/4k. Wondering what front sway bar are you running with these tests, and what do you recommend, stock or Karcept?

A quick glance at RedShift's website suggests that they're selling the same Chinesium two-piece coilovers that BC Racing, Godspeed, and others are selling, but with more work on figuring out the proper valving. If that's the case, I'd be interested in seeing a comparison these and something like SuperMiata's Xidas, FM's Fox, or another premium coilover to see just how much better those coilovers truly are compared to these (and maybe throw in some Godspeed coils to round out the bottom end of the market).

The article is correct in that there are far more suspension options on the market than ever, but there's also a lot of options that are just plain bad.

I would also be very interested in a comparison to SuperMiata's Xidas, I would expect the Xidas to have an advantage given that they are a one piece design and have more travel compared to the Redshift two piece

Note that the coilovers in this article are no longer available, so the comparison to FM springs and Koni shocks is no longer valid as the only options from Redshift are in a different price point. They were discontinued due to reliability concerns according to the guys at Redshift. The loss of overall travel is definitely a concern - our Fox suspension is designed to take full advantage of the Miata's travel, and a two piece cannot match that.
