I've been offered a miata that seems tempting. Whats a 70k mile early na worth these days? Body looks really nice, interior pretty good, some wear on driver's seat, looks like a new top. Stock everything, garaged old folks car.

I bought my 96 83k mile somewhat less condition for $3600 last July. I did think that was better than average price.
There was a white 94 on a bringatrailer a while back. 89k, one owner, c package, new star specs, stock if I recall correctly. Went for $5400 I believe.

Bought my "not clean" Miata with similar mileage for $2300.00, then spent another $2k (or more, I can't bring myself to add up the costs) bringing it somewhere close to "clean". (1994 M Edition for reference). I'm seeing vehicles at the same starting point closer to $3K now. If I had it to do over again, I'd pay at least $5K for a clean, reasonable mile car and avoid a lot of hassle. Just remember, there's a fair amount of "stuff" that will still need to be done to it. In all likelihood, you'll need a new radiator, T Belt/Water pump, shifter rebuild, belts, hoses and gaskets/seals and a full fluid refresh in addition to anything that's "obvious" like tires. All that stuff ages whether the car is driven or not. So . . . final verdict: $5,000 with no service history, maybe as much as $6,000 with all/most of the above done. + or - a few hundred depending on color, options, and anything that might be non-working.
The good news is prices seem to be going up, so your money is probably fairly safe.
