There are two Land Rover Disco's for sale on CR listed as Manual Trans. One has a winch and a picture of the shifter, it is a manual trans. The other is listed as a manual but no proof.
I think around 5% were manual transmissions. Has a Rover R380 gearbox.
Everything about a LR screams to me run but when you said MT I instantly said oh I want one.
Those are not bad Discos, they are basically a Range Rover from the frame down, with only the body and interior different (and less luxurious) It should also have the best of the disco's engines, the 3.9, which is as close to bullet proof as any Landy v8 can be. I would be more leery of the electronics considering the sound system
I worked at a Rover dealership for 3 years, I don't think I ever saw one with MT.
The ones with the active swaybar thing were pretty cool. One of the techs spun one going way too fast on an off ramp and it did a perfect 360 and kept going. Freaked him out. Alas, I digress.

They are rare enough that the last one i saw i tried to buy, and since then i've had a very open ended CL search with email alert that has shown me piles and piles of trash and not a single other manual-equipped model.
The white one disappeared already, the linked one is not too far from me. Too bad that I'm so scared of LRs.
I would love to convert mine to MT, but the electronics are a limiting factor. I would lose hill descent and possibly ABS (as they are connected into the same system)
I would get it. Has to be a lot better than the auto version even with the electrical issues.
