I love my ApexPro for track days and endurance racing and just sold a vBox Sport, whioch is also pretty terrific. The ApexPro is super simple and does what almost every driver needs. My Panoz carries a full RaceCapture system, complete with real time tire temp and telemetry, manly because I am a geek. :-)

I'm surprised you didn't make any mention of the systems integrated in to new cars by the OEMs. Like the Porsche AliveDrive and GM Performance Data Recorder that are built by Cosworth.
