Awesome job!!! I love cheap DIY fixes. But the real question is...
Did that guy peeing on your tires in the parking lot help you guys do a better burnout?

Haha! I didn't try after wards, but if I would have realized that it tries to take off in second or third and only kicks down into first, I would have set the auto-stick to first, turned the traction control off, and lit them up! I was disappointed in my first attempt at a burn out in that car, and have since perfected my technique.
Well done. Good to see someone using their noggin to "git 'r done".
Can it be said that when you discovered the problem and found that you had nary a block of wood on hand to fix it, that you were hard up for a piece of ash?
Ooops!
That is so true about the Benzworld stuff. Before getting our R350 I signed up and poked through the threads and there is next.to nothing for DIY.
Honestly Corey, I'm dissappointed.
Having slept an average of 2 hours per night for 3 days, consumed copious amounts of alcohol over said three days, waking up late, and knowing you had to get home that night (what is it, like a 12 hour drive?) what you really should've done was spent hundreds of dollars and hours of your time creating some elaborate system of compressors, hoses, A/C inverter, etc., etc., 'cuz you know, that would be the "Grassroots" way to do it. Maybe you could throw a $2,000 exhaust on to get that perfect "note" and an additional 1/2 HP while you're at it.
berkeley sticks.
WOOD IS GOOD!
