Could someone suggest a cheap way to use up a stockpile of 245-45/17 rims with a '90 325i? I was hoping there would be some OEM rim out there that could get the job done without having to buy new aftermarket rims. Looking for a chumpcar class rim, which means cheap to buy, cheap to replace.

Are the tires worth a crap? Because IDK of any 4 lug 17" bmw wheel wide enough. If you had 5x120 pattern, there would be E36 M3loads of wheels for cheap to use.

^The APEX racing 17x8 if they are still making them.

But that diameter means lots of ride height AND murdering the fenders. 245/40/17 is a TIGHT fit with rolled fenders and lots of spring rate.

That tire size is way too damn tall for the car. I have bigger cars than e30s that i still wont put a tire that tall on.

see the e30 in my avatar. every tire fits. you need to change the gearing though - 245/45 is way tall and if you are using a getrag 260 you want to be around a 433 to get past the overdrive. unless auto x. but you said race car ;-)
