Once someone stole a cigar out of my Escort.
Best way to prevent your car getting stolen is to park it next to one more likely to be stolen.

True. Much like home pest control, you don't have to elminate the problem. Just make it less appealing than what's around it.
Maybe I should post this again. 
Also helps with vandals, annoying kids, my kids (tough to slip in late when dad can check the cameras
) sales people, alarm companies, insurance rates, and general peace of mind.
Not as much fun as a 5 speed though.
