Sorry if this is a dumb question...but is there a resource out there for tuning shocks?

I went from old trashy garbage soggy stock rate leaves to a four link with coilovers and double adjustable shocks.

First build on stuff like this and car handles great on street... compared to 60 year old stuff that was removed.  Do I just tune by seat of the pants feel?

With double adjustable shocks you have the ability to tune the cars behavior in specific scenarios. so corner entry, mid turn, exit. I've always started setting up a new setup by putting all adjustments to the middle setting and taking a few runs. Then think carefully about when/where the car is doing things you don't want it to. Then make shock adjustments from there.

It will probably take a few sessions/events before you figure out a system that works for you. On my current shocks, 4 clicks of any knob is a "big swing" in handling. and 2 clicks is a small swing, 1 click is for those times when the car is almosttttt perfect but could do something just a hair better.

The internet has all sorts of shock adjustment graphs so usually if I can't recall how to fix a handling issue I'll just google shock adjustment graph or the like and get an image like this:

^^ What he said.

Think of it as adjusting the car, not the shock.

Something to make sure you don't fall into is turning knobs at will. If you're not at a track or Test and Tune course you know. I'd heavily recommend against turning knobs.
