Why would they not put the end of the race on network TV? There's no proper sports going on Sunday from 12-3 pm
Is there any pre-show coverage?
I'm ignorant... can I get the app for my laptop? How does this work?
Hmm I must have contained all my snark to the Classic Motorsports post. (Seriously though I'll pay a fee for a native Roku app.)
It looks like you have the option of iOS and Android the app.
If you have Windows 10 it appears it'll install from the app store so you can hook it to the TV. The other option is to cast your phone to the TV.

Explain this to me like I'm 5.

I hope it's not like my NFL Mobil app the won't let you cast to a TV.

Is Fox Sports 1 part of your cable subscription?
- Yes = You can use Fox Go App
- No = SOL
Cord cutters will have to look elsewhere. I'll wait for it to be published on Youtube.
If I'm not mistaken you have to have a cable service to get the Fox sports GO app. Which eliminates me from watching any of it as I don't have cable.

That FS1 stuff is dismal thinking, few if any people have access to FS1 outside the US so as usual, Nascar/Imsa/Fox shoots itself right in the foot.

As will I. I appreciate the fact that they publish to YouTube (albeit after the fact) for those of us unwilling or unable to sift through the various hoops Fox makes us jump through to attempt to watch a product they purchased.

So, for us heathens that are cable free, which teams will be live streaming like they did for Le Mans?
Strangely (or not), those ouside the US get the stream via IMSA.tv or the ISMA app . . .

Correction. You have to have a friend with cable service.

Visited Michael Shank Racing last month and got to see the NSX's up close and personal. Got plenty of free swag (& very nice guy). I need to see how they do this weekend.
So for those of us who don't have cable I think that Radio LeMans will at least have audio streaming.
IMSA TV will be available all day today (Friday) The schedual is:
9:45 a.m.-10:05 a.m.: Practice 4 - Continental Tire Challenge (audio)
10:25 a.m.-11:25 a.m.: Practice 4 - WeatherTech Championship (audio)
11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: Race 1 - Ferrari Challenge (video)
1:45 p.m.-4:15 p.m.: Race - Continental Tire Challenge (video)
Any one want to play predictions for each class?
Idiots these people are. What happened to actual putting it on a device called a TV. Yes I have access to cable and I could app somthing or other but you know what? If I can not just sit down and watch it then I will find somthing else to watch. May be go out with the kids or work on a project around the house.
For a sport that is trying to gain fans making it more difficult to view the race is decreasing the fan base. They are do dumb. Oh and they are going to say something like we had a million viewers watching it on the app. What they don't yell you I they lost 1.5 million viewers because trying to watch it was such a PITA.

I'm not sure you can blame the series. Fox has bought the rights and distribute as they see fit to suite their business model. Blame Fox not IMSA.
I think all Motorsport is going to have to rethink its TV distribution over the next decade. I'm pretty sure it will all be live streamed by then. For a fee live, or free after 24 hours, a week or whatever. It's becoming so easy for people to provide torrents that the current model is going to be unsustainable in the long term. This is why I'm excited about Liberty taking over F1.

And if you use something like tor it's very easy to be "outside the US"
In reply to Nick (Bo) Comstock:
You should still be able to use Miracast, AppleTV(I think) or Chromecast to project the entire phone screen up onto the TV. Even if you've got buy the little dumb 30 dollar dongle it's cheaper than a cable subscription.
Seriously IMSA if you're reading this: Native app for AppleTV and Roku. I'll pay you 15 bucks or so for all the races or 3ish bucks a month to stream your series. Get out ahead of other series now and prove it works.
Work arounds are dumb and cumbersome because I don't want to watch a race on my cellphone.
Watching the ICTSC race at work right now on the Windows IMSA app. Not awful. Too bad I can't watch the main event due to FS1.
Already have a watch party planned and it sucks having to keep track of channels. An app is seriously needed.
In reply to dean1484:
All 24 hours of it are on TV, I've already set my DVR to record it. It's on three channels but it's better than getting up at 2am to watch Dave Despain try and cram 4 hours of racing into a 15 minute update in between reruns of Two Close For Comfort.
In reply to The0retical:
I was casting a Bengals game to my TV and it worked for a couple minutes, then a message came up from the app saying that casting is not allowed by the NFL. It hasn't worked since then. I think it would be very easy for Fox or IMSA to do the same thing. And I hope they don't. Not that I can watch it anyway.
I'm another one that would gladly pay for a live stream. That's not an option so I will have to resort to the same thing I did last year. I don't like it but I have no other choice besides getting cable which isn't going to happen.
