Rene Molina from Texas purchased Daytona racer Squeak Kennedy's SCCA GTA Howe chassis Ford Taurus and then had Bemco Fabrication in Deland Fl convert it to Trans Am 2 look.
The A posts and halo were re-worked to fit as the Mustang is designed for a 47" roof height versus a 51" for the Taurus body.
Car weighs about 2500# w/o driver and powered by a 500 HP 351. The car as a Taurus lapped Daytona in 1:58 and Sebring at 2:16.
This car will race in the South West in NASA.
Fast, nice looking piece for about 1/3 the cost of a new TA2 ride.
