I was watching the race at Vegas. Currently under red flag. 15 car wreck. Dan Wheldon was taken away in a helicopter, and a couple of other drivers on their way to the hospital. I hope everyone pulls through.

Sure looked like Wheldon went head first into the wall. Like his head, not the car. Looked like a very bad place to be.
That was one nasty crash. Hope Dan Wheldon is OK, although this day has a real Greg Moore feel to it. I hope not.
It's almost 5:45, and they've been in a drivers meeting for close to a half an hour. The teams look ready to be done. Looks bad.

Very very sad...anybody else hear the in-car interview with him before the race? I don't follow IRL, I just turned the TV on and the race was starting, but being a car nut I have obviously heard of him. Just goes to show, life is but a vapor and can be gone in an instant...my prayers are with his family.
He was too young to die like that. Such a loss and a blow to the Racing world.
I feel as though I should add this. I feel like this is way a lot of us live here.
