It's been raining all day here with some occasional thunder and lightning and some minor tornados in the area. Should reach the peak tonight and be gone by morning. Hoping it stays offshore and not much happens. What the Bahamas suffered (and will be going through for a long time) is horrific.
Glad it mostly spared the US so far.
The Carolinas are getting hit now. Charleston is getting some flooding.
The first bands are hitting us right now. We're inland, so I'm not expecting much wind, but it's raining pretty steady and will probably do so for at least a day.
I spent a bit of time securing anything that might blow away and collecting some rain water in case we lose power and want to flush the toilets.
I hope anybody in the main path fares well.
I realize that the storm has stirred up a bunch of flounder... but it doesn't belong here. So I'm deleting it back into the ocean.
