Alright, so I ended up buying that E36. This is in no way an official for sale thread, I was just curious what I could get for the full M-cross interior. If its a substantial amount of money, I might consider shipping them. I actually really dig the interior, but if I can get as much for it as the guy who sold me the car says I can, I am fine with riding in stock interior for the extra cash :D

Not my picture, but thats pretty much exactly what it looks like. I have the door panels as well. Anyways, would anybody be interested? LMK

Here is the car BTW. She is an absolute beauty. I'm quite pleased:

I'd expect you could get upwards of $2k if you are selling the whole thing with door cards and so on.

I also think you are nuts for selling it. It makes the car.

This. I would keep it forever if I had that interior.

No way in hell would I sell that.

Also: I need an m3.

If I still had my m3 I would buy the E36 M3 out of that.

Echoing the above comments. Don't do it. That's a very cool interior.

For the BMW experts out there, would this interior fit an e36 M3 sedan? I know the front seats would of course, but don't know if the rear bench in the coupe and sedan are interchangeable.

I think you guys are right. After mulling it over, I do really dug the interior. I eventually want to turn this car into a dedicated track car. Maybe in a year or so. When I do so, THEN will I sell the interior as I obviously won't need it anymore. I do like how unique it is.

Is that what was known as hurricane cloth. If so I believe it was very uncommon in e36 M3s & may therefore be of great interest to someone. You may want to research this on bimmmerforums M3 section.

There are a handful of different BMW cloth interiors. "Hurricane", "Rain" and "M-Cross" are the 3 I know of off the top of my head, at least for the e36 M3 cars. The vast majority of folks, even BMW enthusiasts, don't like the cloth interiors. A handful, me included, think they are super cool.

From a function standpoint I prefer cloth for sure. Grips your body better during performance driving, and temperature extremes are nothing like leather.

From a cosmetic standpoint I prefer cloth for sure. It looks better, especially when it ages, and it feels much better to the touch.

I guess my next E36 should be a M3 with that M-cross interior, I really like those seats.

oh.. you asked. The front seats will fit the sedan (and wagon and ti) but not the rest of the interior. Even the dashboard is unique to the coupe' (and I think convertible)

To be exact.. if you place a sedan and coupe' side by side.. you will see that they share very few body panels. They make look identical, but they are definitely different

I wish I could find one for sale with that interior. They are incredibly rare. Cloth interiors in general are rare in that car. And, when you do find one with cloth, it's usually the "hurricane" interior, like below. I like the M-Cross much better.

I think you're making the right move in keeping the interior, I love the cloth interiors!

Reminds me of the seats in a 90s Neon..

You need to keep the interior in that car, with something special and rare like that you owe it to future owners to keep it intact.
